The Great Sage Equal to Heaven's rival, Erlang is known for being Sun Wukong's equal, famously fighting him in the novel Journey to the West, where his powers, skills, and abilities were put to the test against the Monkey King. He also later appears on Black Myth: Wukong as the overarching antihero.
