Schierke is a precociously intelligent but socially inept young magic user apprenticed to the benevolent witch Flora, Schierke first encounters Guts' companions when she saves Casca, Farnese, and Isidro from a pack of trolls in the woods near Enoch village. Schierke is 13 years old.
