Toshizō Hijikata (土方歳三 Hijikata Toshizou) is the Vice-Commander of the Shinsengumi and the main male protagonist of the anime series Hakuouki. He is Kondou's longtime friend who helped him form the Shinsengumi in Kyoto. Kondou calls him "Toshi".
